John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5

When you need love

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (New International Version, ©2011)
 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

1 John 4:17-18 (New International Version, ©2011)

17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

2 Corinthians 13:14 (New International Version, ©2011)

 14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Isaiah 54:10 (New International Version, ©2011)

10 Though the mountains be shaken
   and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
   nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
   says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Jeremiah 31:3 (New International Version, ©2011)

 3 The LORD appeared to us in the past,[a] saying:
   “I have loved you with an everlasting love;
   I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

John 13:34 (New International Version, ©2011)

   34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 3:16 (New International Version, ©2011)

 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Psalm 103:11 (New International Version, ©2011)

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
   so great is his love for those who fear him;

Romans 5:8 (New International Version, ©2011)

8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 8:37-39 (New International Version, ©2011)

 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a]neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
